3 Gifts that could have gone unnoticed:
- a vibrant red geranium that blooms year round
- a magnificent pink sunset display right at the end of my front porch
- a husband who has always been the first to get up for church on Sunday morning
I read somewhere this week that you should practice being grateful by saying aloud, "thank you" as you go about your daily tasks. Say "thank you" that I have shoes when you put them on etc.....Watch how it will change your perspective.

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning." ~James 1:17
"Those who dream by day are cognizant of many things that escape
those who dream only at night."
~Edgar Allen Poe
Naming them,

Could have gone unnoticed reasons to be thankful: a dishwasher chugging along, electric power on (even with the meter spinning), pets sleeping in their nests, husband going to grocery store with my list in his hand, children and grandchildren who as far as I know are safe, sisters who are only a text, email, or phone call away, blogging friends who share moments of their lives, good books stacked everywhere as well as The Good Book, life!
ReplyDeleteI love your comment about your husband being the first to be ready for church! How blessed you are dear one.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your blog.
