Winter can look so gloomy and colorless.
I decided to spruce up the front yard by adding some color.
This worn bench was just sitting in the back yard begging for attention.
You wouldn't believe how many times I've moved these
stones around my yard.
The hand pump also got some red paint,
as did the bird feeder
and an old lantern.
The rocks are one of several stacks of memories from trips to the mountains.
It's what people from Florida do.
Normally, I would paint everything white or black in the yard.
I decided to go bold this time and I'm glad I did.
I see a pot of red flowers being added in the spring.
and maybe some grass if we're lucky...
and maybe some grass if we're lucky...
Just a little change that I can see from my front porch everyday,
vibrant colors in the winter that bring a smile.
I'm linking over at Cozy Little House for Tweak It Tuesday.

Love the touches of red! I think pops of color like that just make such a fun statement!

Great job on the bench! I also love the red. I still have sheets from a magazine from years ago where there was snow on the ground and red things around the yard and I told my husband then that I wanted something red to look out at through every window! There's still one side of the house we haven't gotten to but it might be a little too much to paint the huge propane gas tank, don't you think? This is a side of the house we rarely walk along but there are 4 windows on that side of the house. Got to think of something before it snows. If it ever does.
ReplyDeleteLove how your bench came out painted red!! I am a red lover so this whole post delighted me!!

ReplyDeleteps I might know one person from TX who collects rocks from visits, but I'm not mentioning any names. ;)
I LOVE the pops of red you added to your yard Betty. It makes me want to go get a brush and red paint right now...except that all my stuff is under the snow right now : )
